My meme journey

In my school days I never had my own phone and used to use my father’s phone so I barely used it for anything other than asking friends for school notes. I didn’t know that memes existed until my conversation with a friend. He replied to my question with a meme and I didn’t understand why he had sent a picture so I asked him what that meant. In a little annoyed tone he called and explained it.[I didn’t understand his textual explanation 😅]. That was the first time I realized that a picture is worth a thousand words 😂. Some of you may ask andha science diagrams lam podum bodhu thonaliya, yes enakku thonala 🤣. I didn’t think of asking him how he created the meme because we weren’t on very good terms.
In college one of my friends sent a meme in our class group, so I thought of asking him how he did it. He told me to use an app called meme maker. During my college days I had a hand me down phone from my cousin sister, which always had insufficient memory with just Whatsapp installed , so I didn’t have space for this app or even Inshot. I did make a few memes every now and then but there wasn’t much reception in our groups so I used to post in my whatsapp status. Most often people ignored it or my friends would ask me what it meant 🤦‍♀️. So after sometime I almost stopped posting memes.

This was the concept of my first meme [not the same one, couldn’t find it]

[Cut to 2020]: I joined Zoho in Jan 2020 and within a few months found the Zoho Memes group. I was quite impressed by all the memes posted and felt that even after a whole day of stressful work, scrolling through the memes really lightens the mood. This inspired me to start making memes again, I had also upgraded to a phone with 64GB storage so I started making memes now. I was quite nervous about how it would be received and if any of my seniors would report me for posting memes 😂. Then one day I posted my first meme and thankfully nothing like that happened. After this my ideas started flowing and I started to post memes regularly, some were understandable and some weren’t. I am definitely not a pro but it was fun, a real stress buster thus I will continue doing it. 😊

If your mind voice is as described in the meme below, sorry for wasting your time. I love writing, although not a pro here I definitely like it and strongly feel it is one of the best way to express my thoughts to people. 😊 Thanks for reading.
